White Man Can't Fly? Think Again....

There is a saying in the sport of basketball that "White Man Can't Fly...", in the early days of NBA, the first dunkers are all blacks, the whites are always shooting the ball far away from the basket but the blacks brings the ball in the paint, jumps and powers the ball downward through the basket with one or two hands over the rim. Some players literally crash/breaks the backboard with their dunks. Gus Johnson, Daryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins, Shaquille O'neal were famous famous for rippin the rim of the backboard.

Almost of the guys who played above the rim are blacks.

Not until then, a white man surprisingly won the NBA 1996 SLAM DUNK Contest, Brent Barry, the first white man who ever won the Slam Dunk Title. His final dunk was taking off at the free throw line.

Another one is this recent NBA 2011 Sprite Slam Dunk Champion, Blake Griffin. If you can recognize the first picture, Vince Carter did the same dunk who he called "the cookie jar dunk", but Blake Griffins dunk is more technical, He lobbed the ball and cookie jarred it in the rim. The second picture is his final dunk, he literally jumps over a car while getting the lob from Baron Davis from the cars moon roof.

So if they told you that "White man can't fly?" THINK AGAIN....

Daddy

i can still remember that day (March 15, 2008), it was a beautiful Saturday, Manny Pacquiao Fights with Juan Manuel Marquez, i woke up at around 10am, i was getting ready to go at Kuks house suddenly someone texted me saying my father is dead, WTF?! i didn’t believe it first though i felt something weird, then my kuya called me, shit it is indeed true, i was shocked, i can’t believe it… then these fuckin’ tears keep fallin’ & fallin’ i myself can’t even stop them, my heart is pounding with different emotions… then it came up when i reminisce our days together… when we were together we quarrel, we share our stories, we share our experiences, we share our dreams, though sometimes his idea of his dreams are kinda’ lame, i understand him, he’s got something big behind him, something big for us… God i miss him so much, whenever i think of him, i’m filled with guilt & agony because that i didn’t even said how much i love him when he was alive, many already said this line but let me say it once more, “if i could just turn back time”,.. daddy, i know that you’re in heaven with God, daddy, i love you so much & i’m sorry for all the things i’ve done… daddy sorry talaga, for causin’ you so much pain, i will make you proud someday, someday… magiging proud ka rin saken katulad sa mga iba mong anak, i know i’m the black sheep, pero daddy, if you would have given me a chance… yun lang naman e, we always fought because you always discriminates me… nsasaktan din naman ako, daddy, i’m sorry, maipagmamalaki mo rin ako, i love you…

Stupid as the Stupid does

have you done something stupid even though you know you would fail? well i’m doing it right now! i will probably fail about 100%! but even if thats the end, at least i’ve tried! (that’s the spirit! lol) if thats what keeps me moving forward, i will try and try… if it could hurt so much, i would just try to rip off my emotions just to keep moving… as they say stupid as the stupid does! if you have read my post before this one… there’s a phrase there that says “we could jump, hoping to God that we can fly or otherwise we would drop like a rock, wondering the whole way down…” i could drop like a rock here, but before i would become a rock, i will rip off my emotions first to let the pain pass by and feel numb… my heart has been broked and has bled and i’m not afraid to take this one… it would surely scar and mark… but that scar would make me proud for the rest of my life… cause for the first time i would take a risk knowing that i will fail…

Tingles and Everything

tingles and everything… we’re experiencingthis things when we are in love… we have our ups and downs in our life, i mean in our love life… hehehe i hope im not too corny to write this kind of stuff… who cares! this is my blog anyway…

we keep on falling and somehow we fail or succeed… we do all things necessary even if we are not used to these things, we wake up early for them just to greet them good morning, we ask at the end of the day how ’s her day (it sounded redundant lol!), we do things that would make her happy, or we can leap and hoping to God that we can fly, cause otherwise we would drop like a rock, wondering the whole way down… why in the hell did i jump? and here i am… falling for someone… and theres only one person that makes me feel like i can fly… she’s IT! but i would rather have her as a friend… than not to have her in my life at all… or is it just that im afraid to take that risk?

Emotions

Why do people cry? And why do people make other people cry? These things are one of the little questions playing on my mind… why can’t we be happy for the rest of our lives? I know what your answer is… TO LEARN! Bullshit! Problems are meant for people, in able for them to learn in their life… but those problems are just too stubborn! they keep comin’ back, to the point that you don’t know what to do but cry, or the people are the stubborn ones? That they keep committing same mistakes…

I’m not running away from my problems but they’re just to hard to handle… or is it my pride that makes it hard? Why can’t we just go on and forget about those problems? And move on? Its not that I’m leaving someone or something behind… I wanna’ be happy and feel complete even though its just for a nick of time…

I wrote this song about 2 or 3 years ago, this is about a group of boys, who loves music. They don't have anything but them and their music. They have a dream to be famous, even just for a day or two. They are not musically inclined but they play their pieces wholeheartedly, that makes them the best.

The Eagles

now lets start with one of my favorite bands.... "The Eagles"

They are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1971, the current band members are Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walshand Timothy B. Schmit.

Their songs are fantastic, i always listen to their songs it seems to ease whatever burdens i have. One of my favorite is their single "Love Will Keep Us Alive", i dedicated it to my wife, The lyrics actually fit into our love story.

I also like the song "Desperado", "The Last Resort", "Hotel California" though these songs have deeper meaning than it actually sound when they are playing, i can feel the heart, the emotion on those songs, they aren't just made to be famous but to express their feelings & touch lives of the listeners. I hope you would have time to listen to their songs, you wouldn't regret a single second. It may be better to hear them live, they aren't like other artist who edits their voice to beatify the song, you wouldn't notice a change in their(The Eagles) voice, and that my friend is pure God given talent!

Mr. Big

A hard rock band, started 1988, they are known for strong vocals, vocal harmonies, great guitar, great base and great drums.

The band consist of Eric Martin , Paul Gilbert , Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey, but Gilbert left the band in 1997, and Richie Kotzen fill in his spot, Richie Kotzen was the lead guitarist of Poison, he joined them for three years (1999 - 2002). The original members of the band reunited in year 2009 because of the special demand of fans.

Actually I'm one of their fan, they are one of the bands who's top of the line, best vocals, drums, guitar & bass. Their songs have great lyrics, melody & especially SOLO's!!! When it comes to solo's i think Paul Gilbert & Billy Sheehan has a great tandem. \m/ ROCK!!! I know almost all of their songs but i will just post my favorites...(in no particular order interms of favoritism :D)
